How to find us
Wantage Choral Society’s regular rehearsal venue is the Church of England Primary School on Newbury Street. Our final rehearsal before a concert is often at the Parish Church: in school half-terms we may or may not rehearse elsewhere.
Leave Wantage on the A338 heading towards the M4. The school is on the left hand side of the road, just where the road bends slightly to the right, and before the park and the Comrades Club. Warning: parking space is limited at the school: the Comrades Club cark-park may look tempting, but there are notices threatening a £75 penalty for unauthorised parking. The Civic Hall car-park usually has space in the evening, unless there is a function.
Our regular concert venues are:
- The Parish Church (visible from the main square)
- St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church (about half a mile from the town centre, on the Portway, the A417 leading eastwards out of the town)
